My private wifi has stopped working since changes.

Hello,

yesterday I made 2 changes and since then my personal wifi network is not working anymore.

The changes made (on the internet in my Free subscriber space):

1) I linked my mobile (2€ plan) to my Freebox to get the 0€ plan

2) in the tab "Configuration of my Freebox" / Wifi network security / Wifi network protection, (WPA protection/ TKIP+AES) I changed the wifi key because I had given it to someone who lived with me and has left: this key allowed them to connect their smartphone and computer from my home.
(I wondered if they could still connect to the internet using my key elsewhere than at my home and I preferred to change the key).
I first requested a random key to be generated but seeing the very long code, I created a key myself, as I had done previously. For example, before it was: nomdemarue150 and now after my change yesterday it is 150nomdemarue.

I turned off and on the Freebox, I restarted the computer and since then, my wifi connection has disappeared, another connection simply named "FreeWifi" connects automatically but very difficultly. On the other hand, my Ethernet connection works well.

Could the problem be related to my request to link my Freebox and my 2 euro mobile phone plan to obtain the promotional rate of 0 euros?
Or rather to the fact that I changed the wifi key?

Or something else?

Thank you very much for your suggestions.
:-)

Hello, it's finally working, and for that I followed these instructions:

I had to MAKE "FORGET" (or delete) my personal wifi connection that appears in the list of available connections.

Note (important): I have a Freebox Crystal (white plastic box)
    and
WINDOWS 8 (later, another procedure with Windows 8.1)

    1) On my computer:
Make the list of available connections appear in the bottom right of my screen:

By right-clicking on the name of my personal network in this list, the mention "forget this network" appears: I clicked. The name of the network did not disappear, but by unplugging/replugging the Freebox we will see later that this name will have vanished from the list, so don’t worry.

    2) On the Internet in myFreebox Subscriber Area.
Connect via Freewifi (shared hotspot) in the list of available connections or with your Ethernet cable.
Open My Freebox Subscriber Area: https://subscribe.free.fr/login/login.pl

Now you need to recreate a personal network:

Tab at the top: My Freebox
Click in the menu: Configure my wifi network
A page opens: CONFIGURATION OF MY WIFI NETWORK
    Wifi network: ACTIVE
    Personal wifi: ACTIVE
Network name: erase the old name and create a new one (for example: Free de Ginette)
    Choice of wifi channel:
    ACTIVE
and any number, it doesn't matter.
    Network security:
    Hide: INACTIVE
    Protection: WPA
Wifi key: randomly generate a new key: a very long key is automatically displayed, copy it and paste it into a file saved on the pc, as well as onto a USB stick and sent to your email while you're at it.
(when you lose it you can always generate a new one automatically)

Unplug and reconnect the box. The time reappears on the box.
Unplug the Ethernet cable, look for your new network in the list of connections that appears, click on it, it asks for the security key: it's the long key we just randomly generated and copied, so paste it and connect.
    In principle, it works.

IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS 8.1 the procedure is a bit more complex:
you need to open the command window (black page) by pressing WINDOWS+R:

Windows key (white square icon divided into 4 parts, last row at the bottom left of the keyboard)
At the same time: press R

then type cmd and press ENTER.

    The black window opens,
    open the webpage:
    https://protuts.net/oublier-supprimer-reseau-wifi-windows-8-1/

and follow the instructions on the page or the following:
    • position yourself directly after the last white sign and paste (right-click otherwise it won’t work) the code:

    netsh wlan show profiles

    Validate with the ENTER key.

then paste in the same way the code:
netsh wlan delete profile name="profile name"

Note: instead of "profile name" you must write the name of YOUR wifi network that you want to forget (delete). Copy this line of code into a file and replace "profile name" with your network name in quotes, then paste this line directly after what is written in the black page.

    Validate: ENTER.

There you go, your old personal wifi network is deleted.

Now with your Ethernet cable or by clicking on the Freewifi hotspot in the list of available connections,
go to your Freebox Subscriber Area (see page address above and follow the same instructions as above with Windows 8 starting from the title 2) On the Internet

In principle, it should work. :D
