Hello,
I just got a new computer running Windows 10. I installed an old game (Civilization 4), but when I launch it, I get the message: "Please log in with administrator privileges." I read that I needed to uninstall an update, but since it's new, there are no updates installed in the history. I'm stuck where I am.
Thank you for your help.

To solve the problem, just play with a NO CD patch (Sorry, don’t see anything illegal in that).

Basically, it’s the anti-piracy protection present on the original CD that causes issues and is incompatible with Windows 10... So even with some original games, you need to find a NO CD Patch to be able to play (Games like CIVILIZATION IV, Morrowind, etc...)

    With a little PS:

For The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, installing the ORIGINAL expansions (Tribunal and/or Bloodmoon) I specify, disables the game's protection (Never seen before I know, but it’s true).

So for Windows 10, there’s no update to remove, etc... Like for Windows 7 or 8.

    That's it.

      Hello anonylgb,

did it work then? Because even with the original installation and the no CD, it doesn't want to work :/

Does anyone have another solution please?

      Thank you ;)
