Hello,
I am reaching out to you because I am experiencing a problem with my recently purchased television (July 2016 - 1 year warranty).
I bought a Polaroid TQL32R4PR006 television to install in my bedroom so I can quietly watch DVDs. When I saw the television in the store, the picture quality was impeccable, very beautiful, very crisp.
Unfortunately, once installed at home and connected to the DVD player, the picture quality is horrible: the characters are blurry, they create waves,...
I then tried watching television channels to see what the picture would be like: the picture is perfect, very sharp.
I thought there might be an issue with the connection between the DVD player and the television (using the SCART connector), so I tried an HDMI cable: it doesn’t change much, although it seems to have improved ever so slightly (very slightly)...
I then tried another DVD player, this time a "brand" one (Samsung): the quality is still awful...
I wanted to return my television to the store where I bought it (BUT), but they told me that I needed to deal directly with the manufacturer for any checks or possible repairs. They don’t handle anything...
I then contacted Polaroid, who asked me to return the 81 cm television via mail (noting that if the TV breaks on the way to or from them, the warranty will be void and I can therefore say goodbye to my television for good). As a student, I’d rather not take that risk, so I’m asking for your help. Maybe the solution to my problem is simple and I just haven’t seen it.
Thank you in advance.
