Hello everyone
The software I personally use is
Compta / Devis Facture Classic 2017 EBP
At my work, I use the online pro version
I created and configured a file for company A and would like to
retrieve it to create a file for company B (so I don't have to redo all the basic settings)
I did this at work - initially, I copied and pasted
the folder, but folders A and B are somehow linked. After many
manipulations, I managed to make them independent, but I didn’t note
how I got there.
In some software, you can create a folder from an existing one
In this software, I can't find this option
Does anyone have a tip?
Thank you for your advice

Hello
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner, but I wanted to have confirmation.
Having EBP support, I contacted them
Indeed, it is through the backup restore that you can "duplicate" a file.
Of course, you need to delete previous exercises and ongoing entries.
Reset the writing line counters, invoice numbers for commercial management, etc..........
That's the info
Have a good day everyone
Happy Easter
PS watch out for chocolate overindulgence

Hello everyone
No answer ...... But upon reflection, I found the solution
To create folder B from folder A
You just need to restore the backup of folder A
and not give it the original name, but indicate B
There you go .....
If this can help someone ........
Have a nice day everyone

Hmm... it's an idea...
But a restore restores all accounts... and in cases where some entries have been validated, they cannot be deleted...
If the goal is to have a snapshot of a folder... indeed, that's a solution, but if it's to open a folder for another company, all entries concerning the source would need to be removed...
I haven't checked, but it seems to me that when creating a new folder, it's possible to retrieve the settings from another one... at least for accounting...
As for commercial management, I don't know.
