you can delete a moved item completely, but you must first delete its movement (go to Stock then Entries, you will find a list of entries, search for your item's number 'just double click to read the item's name', once you find the item's number, right click and delete). Now the item is no longer moved.

Indeed, a troubled reference cannot be deleted (even if the transaction took place a long time ago, even if the stock is at 0). To delete a reference, you need to have a support contract. At that point, EBP provides a code that allows you to delete items. In the face of this type of problem, there is a way to proceed: you create a new folder every year with the vintage (e.g., Company DURAND => Create Company DURAND 2006, then Company DURAND 2007). After creating the company with the new vintage, you go into the folder of the company for the current vintage, you copy the files (Clients, Suppliers, Articles, Families…) and paste them into the folder of the company with the new vintage. Be careful: you need to be meticulous in selecting the files to copy.
You open the new folder and perform a "TOOL/RECALCULATE DATA", so your database is "clean" for a new year. Now, if you have references that are outdated and you will no longer use, as they are non-affected, you can delete them. The same goes for clients, suppliers, etc. While this practice may seem a bit archaic, it helps, on one hand, to avoid costly support and, on the other hand, to maintain a "light" database compared to a folder that is several years old.

Indeed, it is a problem, I have been working with EBP management for 10 years... and here’s how I do it: Every year, I create a new folder (If your company is called DURANT, in 2007, you create DURANT2007). It may be a bit outdated, but you solve the issue of articles that are no longer referenced, clients and suppliers that no longer exist; in fact, during the current year, these articles/clients/suppliers will not have been moved, so they can be deleted... and you have a fairly lightweight database. To consult previous years, you open the folder for that year, and you can even update it (payment of invoices from the previous year, for example). With this method, it avoids having an expensive support contract (Price-Service Report...). After creating the new folder, you need to do a "copy" of the year's folder and "paste" it into the newly created folder. Be careful: you need to be meticulous about the files to select, then when you are done, you open the new folder and do a "TOOL/RECALCULATE DATA." With some practice, in 1 hour, all the work is done... and you save the cost of a support contract.

With the way of practicing, the file I was taking for example "Ent DURAND 2006", you create at the end of the year 2006, with "FILE/NEW/...", you designate "Ent DURAND 2007" for the business name when the dialog box asks you. During the year 2007, you will work with "Ent DURAND 2007", however you will certainly have to open "Ent DURAND 2006" from time to time for example when you receive a payment relating to the year 2006 or for any operation or consultation.
To answer the question regarding EBP Accounting, for me, it gives me complete satisfaction, I do not have a support contract.
