Hello everyone,

I have a problem when I want to modify Heading 1 in Word, I can't. Moreover, a new style named "1" appears.

Could you help me?

When I want to modify, for example, Title 1, the "modify styles" window opens. Then, as soon as I try to change the font, size, color ... the message "this style name already exists or is reserved for a predefined style" appears every time.

I asked you how you do it, and you repeat what you already said! I would have liked to know how you modify the style... Start by checking that your Normal.dotm file is not protected (assuming you are not in a particular template). Then try these two methods: 1) you type the text with the formatting you want, you select it, then you right-click on Style Heading 1 and choose "Update Heading 1 to Match Selection" 2) Show the Styles pane on the right, click on Heading 1, and at the bottom, click the Manage Styles button (third button). Modify tab, click Modify and try to modify. m@rina

Yes, I’ve tried almost everything, but nothing works. The only solution to be able to use Word fully was to create a new account on my PC. I have to switch accounts, but at least it works.

Thank you for your help anyway!
