Hello,

I’m coming to this forum because I have been a victim of an erroneous charge for a premium subscription with WIX, the website creation platform.
I subscribed to a premium plan with this company a year ago, and being completely dissatisfied with the platform, I canceled the automatic renewal for the subscription.
When I checked my account this morning, I saw that the company had still charged me 178 Euros even though the automatic payment had indeed been stopped by me.
I am considering legal action because I am really tired of seeing these web providers operate with impunity.
Are there any people on this forum who have found themselves in the same situation as I am with this WIX platform?
How can I retrieve my money from this company?
I am considering filing a complaint with the police.

    Hello,

    Blocking the direct debit does not end the contract.

    You should read the contract carefully. Check the duration you initially agreed to. And if it's on automatic renewal, see how long before the deadline you need to cancel and in what form.

    This is the first step before requesting a refund.

    Then you can also ask your bank why the direct debit went through despite your contrary order.

    Exactly the same thing, I just noticed it. Today, I did indeed cancel the payment last year because I had the same problem, and I left it thinking it was my mistake. This is indeed theft of 2 years of subscription for nothing.

      Same thing for me!!!! It says "14-day money-back guarantee on plan purchases," but it's not true. If you buy a plan and it doesn't suit you, you cannot get a refund!! You have to pay for 2 years!!!!! They tell you that your purchase is not a purchase because you already have an account, but you only find that out after you've paid!!! Nothing is written on their site about this. It's really a scam and they are thieves.... they need to be banned for using such practices!! In any case, I will never deal with them again.
