Hello everyone,

For the first time in my life, I’m begging for help on a forum because I made a mistake.....

I have video files that are blocked (or lost....) on my computer: let me explain the problem

For a video edit, I moved all my personal GoPro footage to my second hard drive on my PC.

However, this folder ended up in a folder named Wpsystem, no big deal, you might say. But when I try to open or move this file, I get the following error:

Security ID structure is invalid error code 0x80070538

After 4 hours of searching (literally...) I’ve almost lost all hope, even after calling 3 IT technicians, I haven’t made any progress on my problem

My footage is stuck in this folder, and there’s no trace of it left.... even from Premiere Pro it indicates that there’s nothing anymore....

I hope a kind soul will be present among you, and I truly thank you from the bottom of my heart for trying to help me....

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 57.0.2987.110

    Hello,

It's strange, this error code seems related to the mobile phone running Windows..??

Otherwise, for your files, if they are really there and a Windows security feature is blocking you, my idea would be to fetch them from the disk using a mini system under Linux that doesn't recognize Windows locks..

If your PC is not UEFI nor GPT disk, you can boot your PC with a Live CD under Linux, like Puppy for example. http://distro.ibiblio.org/puppylinux/puppy-slacko-6.3.0/64/slacko64-6.3.0.iso this is the Slacko 64-bit version, it's quite good for a mini system

You burn this ISO file to a CD with "CDburnerXP" https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/5693-cdburnerxp/ which allows you to burn in ISO...

With this CD placed in your drive, you start the PC which should boot from the CD (otherwise set the BIOS to boot from CD first on "Boot device") you'll arrive at a menu/screen with a desktop showing all your disks presented on it...

By clicking once on them, the explorer will show you the contents of the disk...
You can plug in a USB drive and copy your recovered files there... I hope so for you..

    Here's my suggestion.
