How to find out someone's identity on facebook?

Hello,
I'm asking the question, but I imagine there's no way to do it. Someone with an anonymous account (no photo and no information) and a fake name sent me a message on Facebook. This person didn't send me anything mean, so I don't need to report them; I just want to know who they are, or at least get some clues.
Do you know if there's a way to find out anything?
I assume all information about people's identities, IPs, and so on goes through Facebook and that we have no way of getting that information, right?
But if anyone knows maybe a method I didn't know about, it would be great to share it with me!!

No, there's no way to know.
However, in 98% of cases, these are fake profiles, just waiting for you to be "friends" to trap you or simply to create a "pseudo-validity" of credibility by having real "friends."
A real plague
In many cases, these profiles are almost empty of posts.
If that's the case, you should report this profile to FB, which I do every time, and all these profiles are checked and deleted quite quickly.
