        You need to remove the USB drive, restart the PC, wait for Windows to open, plug in the USB drive, and try again.

    Do you have the Wi-Fi icon on the taskbar like here to the left of the speaker icon??

      not a key, a wifi/usb adapter ....
      a key is just memory.
      What makes you think that another one won't be able to install its drivers?

      it's an icon with a small screen that says connected to the internet

      As long as he sees the icon, it means the driver is installed.

      I really like LDLC, but we shouldn't call it a wifi key.
      It creates confusion with the encryption key that is also called that.
      We don't say keyboard key or mouse key....
      That said, in principle,
      we always install drivers before the hardware on Windows, otherwise it might install the wrong product.
      So it's better to delete it from the device manager, remove the drivers, if we can find them, and restart the installation.

      In that case, it’s different; it could be that the driver is not installed.
      Yet you told me that in the network adapter section there was no orange triangular warning sign.
      You can go back to Device Manager, click on network adapters, and see if you see your Wi-Fi network adapter.

    Right-click on Start
    Control Panel
    Network and Sharing Center
    Change adapter settings
    Right-click on --> Ethernet card
    Properties
    Right-click on --> Avast firewall NDIS filter miniport
    Uninstall it
    Restart the PC.

    Do the same with the wireless card.

    Try again with the wifi USB key.
