VLC VideoLAN Registry Key

Hello,
I had a problem with VLC, the sound wasn't working at first. I decided to do a "normal" fix and it worked, but even at MAXIMUM the sound was weak.
I decided to delete VLC from c:/program data/...
But I also deleted the VLC keys in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, to be able to download it again without issues.
But here it is, during the download/installation, like with other software, the software crashes (error message, disappears...), so I decided to get it via USB key.
I took the VideoLAN folder and everything works.
The only problem is that due to the deleted registry keys that have not been restored, I have no sound.
If someone could help me.
Thanks in advance.

    Good evening,

Please avoid messages like this: is there anyone to respond to me? :(

The people responding to you are volunteers and reply in their free time. Generally, it is considered polite to bump your post after 24 hours.

Otherwise, for your issue, have you thought about restoring to a date prior to the deletion of the registry keys?

    Best regards.

      Good evening,

I'm already sorry because I'm sick and tired...
      I hope you understand.
Thank you for the tip. I tried it, but it resulted in a C drive error, and I wasn't authorized to do a restore, even though I am an admin.

    Hello.

So, corrupted recovery service (missing keys)

If you haven't made a complete registry backup before making any changes, you're in trouble.

Did you create a system image on an external hard drive even if it's 3 months old? That would be enough to reset the PC but to the same date as that backup.

    This is just a suggestion . . . Bye

No, I don't think so, but is there no way to do it from another account?
From another PC of the same model, I mean.

It's completely impossible because the registry keys are created not only based on the O.S but also on the hardware configuration of the PC and their drivers.

What system is your PC working under because the damage seems irreversible to me.

You can first try a sfc /scannow via the command prompt. If that fails, try a chkdsk /f in the same way, but I'm very skeptical about the outcome.

If it's a laptop, plug it into the power source because chkdsk /f can take quite a while.

        See you +
