MY NIKON D80 WON'T SHOOT: error message r02

Hello

with my Nikon D80 I can take about fifteen photos and then when I press the shutter nothing happens. No photo is taken, only an error message: r02 appears.

The battery is full and new.

could you help me ?

    This error means the device is unable to communicate with the lens.

    Hold down the lens release button and remove the lens about 10 times, then reinstall it each time. The problem will disappear.

    The "r" number (r10) you see is not an error. It indicates how many shots are available in the buffer. When you shoot, there is always an "r" number, usually higher, but you don't notice it when the device responds quickly. The problem you are experiencing is probably the memory card linked to it. The camera’s operation will slow down or even lock up if data from the photo cannot be written quickly enough to the card in order to maintain enough space in the buffer (the camera's internal memory). If your card is near full or if files have been written and deleted several times, the card may need to be formatted or replaced.
