Hello,
I have Word 2013, and when I open a document, it usually displays in a two-page view that doesn't suit me. How can I set it to default to a single-page view? Thank you in advance.

Hello Hugo,
With Word 2007
tab View, Zoom group, click on "One Page"
corresponding keyboard shortcut: < Alt >< n >< 1 >
If the display is too small, set the zoom back to 100%:
same tab and same group: click on "100%" or:
< Alt >< n >< 0 >
I'll let you find the equivalent on your Word 2013.
If your problem is resolved, please indicate so,
so the topic can be marked as resolved.
Best regards. :)

Thank you for this response, but what I'm looking for is that before even opening a document, for example, 2 pages long, I want to be certain that it will be displayed one page at a time and not with 2 pages side by side. So I'm looking to set a default setting for all documents to open in Word, one page at a time!
It's annoying to have to click on the display one page and then zoom 100% every time I open a file. :- )
Hello Hugo,
I think that if you do what I indicated for Normal.dotm
and save it, it will work as you want.
I'm not sure, and I would need to modify my own
file Normal.dotm to verify it; which I prefer to avoid
because those manipulations are tedious; besides, it would be
a double modification for me since I don't have your problem.
But you have nothing to lose by trying; of course, do what you need
to revert it back to how it was before in case it doesn't work.
Good luck! Best regards. :)

Hello,
This is not a normal.dotm configuration but just a display setting.
In principle, Word opens or creates a document at the last zoom level used. Unlike Excel or PowerPoint, where the zoom level can be saved with the document, as explained here:
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/zoom-in-or-out-of-a-document-presentation-or-worksheet-0a0ebbed-10e7-444b-b16b-6f0c090f8ec7?redirectsourcepath=%252ffr-fr%252farticle%252fmodifier-le-facteur-de-zoom-d-un-document-30fadeda-c0c2-47e1-b7e2-f19d68d9fded&ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us
The problem can be solved by a macro that would trigger when Word opens, but it's still not normal to have to resort to that.
