Hello,
I've been stuck for a while now and I can't install AOE 3. During the installation of the 3rd CD it bugged for 20 minutes and it wasn't loading anymore. So I canceled to restart the installation, and since then a game icon appeared on the desktop. (I didn't really understand why) I then clicked it and it says "it is impossible to start the program because binkw32.dll is missing from my computer," as well as "deformerdll.dll," "granny2.dll," and "rockalldll.dll." I tried to install these things without really knowing what they were, but nothing changes and I still get the same notifications requiring these files.
I don't understand anything, it pisses me off, I want to play the scary one :'(

If someone could be extremely kind enough to help me I would be grateful...

    Hello

In my opinion the problem is that you are on Windows 7, 8 or 10 and this game is much too old.

    best regards

      No.
except playing with VMs and a virtual XP and not even sure the graphics card will be recognized.

Try to launch the game in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode, otherwise =D

Either reinstall it, or try to play anyway, but I advise you to reinstall. In both cases, click on the AOE icon (it should be AOEIII.exe in the disk files if you want to reinstall), right-click then Properties, Compatibility, "Run this program in compatibility mode," check it and choose Windows XP SP3. I also suggest clicking "Run as administrator," then OK, close, then launch/reinstall the game, and if I'm not mistaken, it should work.
