Met all in bold/italic/color

Hello,
I am working in Word 2003 and I've been encountering a problem for some time: the typographical modifications (bold/italic, color, indentation, font size, alignment, etc.) applied to a selection (paragraph or single word) affect the ENTIRE document. I've been experiencing this issue for a while now, and if I try to open my document on another machine, the problem persists. I also saved the document as .rtf but the same problem occurs. Is there another solution other than reinstalling Word?

Thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.6

No, check that in the stylesheet: the normal style the box "update every time" is not checked. You uncheck it.

I just followed Piopicolo's advice and I no longer have the problem. If it persists, I will follow Pixeldoe's advice. In any case, thank you very much for your responsiveness and the accuracy of your responses!

    Hello everyone,
I'm having the same issue with Word 2000, but I can't find the "update whenever" checkbox in the style sheet. Do you know where this feature is located in Word 2000? Thank you in advance.

    Re,
I tried the pixeldoe solution which works, thanks to him, but if you have the first solution (the "update every time" box in Word 2000) it avoids going through Run to access Word. Thank you.

    It's okay,
I went to Format / Style, created a new one and checked the box "update every time" and chose the normal style...
    Thank you very much.

I ran winword /a and indeed it works perfectly

What should I do on the 'normal' Word?

    Thank you

In Word, you need to go to Format / Style, create a new one and check the box "update whenever needed" and choose the normal style...
and no need to do winword / a

Hello! You need to modify the Normal style. Go to Format menu - Styles and modify the Normal style, and uncheck the box "Automatically update". Have a great week from Quebec!

    Hello

Try creating another Word document and doing a new test, however to open Word, go to Start / Run and type: winword /a

Word should open, let us know if, with Word opened this way, you still encounter the same difficulties

    Best regards
