Phone fuse

Hello,

Following a storm, the PTT fuses in my old telephone installation have melted.
France Telecom believes that this part of the network belongs to me and offers me 2 solutions:

- I find a way to replace these impossible-to-find fuses (FT agencies haven't seen them in 15 years!!!)
- I pay 55 euros for someone from FT to come and change them for me.

What do you think?
Does the line head marked "property of the State" really belong to the customer?

Thank you
See you soon

Or simply don't replace them! These fuses from the 70s are useless. Just take off the casing and make contact with wires instead of the fuses.

    Hello to you,

if it is true that the fuses are at your place, it is true that the storm is with the insurer. Dear friend in trouble, you must urgently file a housing damage claim (hoping you have one) for the coverage of the intervention... that said... in these cases.. the storm is expected with a deductible (price varies by insurer).. and it may be that the insurance deductible is higher than the cost of the intervention by France Telecom. When France Telecom washes their hands saying 'it's your problem!' 'you're the one who let a cursed storm hit your place'... uh... I would say like them.... it's not their fault and besides... it happened at your place... but a good piece of advice... play the fool and make a few phone calls to different France Telecom agencies to gather different opinions (if there are any) and pay more attention to the legal mentions (online; on your contract) that France Telecom 'owes' you as a telephone line provider (physical line)

    Good luck to you.
