Connect headphones to LG TV

Hello,

I have an LG (42PA4500) and I don't have a jack to plug in my headphones; I've even tried USB but still no sound. My TV is not connected to a box, just to a DVD player. I bought a SCART adapter that converts in to out but I still have nothing. I was told I should try to link the audio from the player (which is only HDMI) to the TV via the SCART adapter. I don't know how to do that or if it's really possible. I saw that there was an optical digital audio out to jack, but I read too many comments saying that it didn't work. I'm at an impasse; all I want is to connect headphones to my TV without spending too much money as I've already spent a lot trying to make headphones work.

Could someone please help me? Thanks in advance ;)

    Hello,

On the LG website, regarding your TV, it says:
Connectors (AT THE BACK): "PC Audio Input (jack) x1"

    source: https://www.lg.com/fr/televiseurs/lg-42PA4500-tv-plasma

PS: if that's not the case, this type of adapter might do the job: https://www.amazon.fr/Bulk-CABLE-470-C%C3%A2ble-St%C3%A9r%C3%A9o-Femelle/dp/B000BN6KT6/ref=sr_1_4?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1477662176&sr=1-4&keywords=adaptateur+RCA+vers+Jack+3.5+mm

It's well written Audio Input and not Audio Output, so you can't connect a headset there, especially since the TV has an RCA audio connector, but an input like the jack. You can't do anything about it.
