Hello, I have a Dell OptiPlex GX 280. When I try to install certain applications, I get stuck with a graphics card issue. What should I do? The system is Windows 7, and the identification number is PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2582&SUBSYS_01791028&REV_04.

Hello,
The latest driver for this old Intel graphics chipset is for Windows XP. Intel hasn't released one for Windows 7 (nor for Vista which came out just before).
Forcing the use of the XP driver risks crashing Windows 7.
Either you look for a compatible graphics card to install physically in your PC (if possible), or you revert to XP (or a lightweight Linux distribution since your PC is old).

Thank you Destrio5 for your help, you know, I'm a novice in the field, so please excuse my impertinence if you notice it. Are you trying to tell me that my PC won't be able to find a graphics card other than the one that is currently there? And how do we find and install a potential graphics card physically?

It would be easier for you to find someone in person for that.
