Battlefield 1 - DirectX error

Hello,

Here is my recurring problem, and I’ve seen on other forums that I'm not the only one...

First of all, I had the message (see image 1) during a multiplayer game crash, and the campaign was fine. I run in ultra 1080p with the resolution scale at 125% at 50fps, otherwise, with the resolution scale at 100% it’s at 80fps.

My hardware:

Windows 8.1 64bits
MSI GeForce GTX 770 TF OC - 2 Go (N770 TF 2GD5/OC) (not OC)
MSI Z97 GAMING 5
Intel Core i5 4670K (not OC)
Crucial Ballistix Sport XT DDR3 2 x 4 Go PC12800 CAS9
Fractal Design Define R4 - Titanium Grey Window
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 - SATA III 6 Gb/s - 2 To
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 - SATA III 6 Gb/s - 1 To
Samsung Series 850 EVO - 500 Go
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

In short, the hardware is certainly not the issue, but the drivers... I had installed the latest Nvidia update 375.57 before testing the game, but as a result, I ended up with 9 out of 10 multiplayer matches crashing with this message

And also unable to set it to ultra 1080p with the resolution scale at 125% or even 1080p with the settings on high; otherwise, it crashes directly when in the match, so I had to set it to low by disabling ambient occlusion, and I had 70fps in multiplayer, quite smooth, but suddenly a crash occurred just like that XD and this happened in all matches.

In the end, I was getting crashes in all my matches, I downgraded to 373.06 after properly uninstalling the latest one, but it was exactly the same with no changes. So, I fell back on campaign mode, which worked really well; I played 5 missions, and suddenly there was also a crash with this message

And since then, I can’t even launch the game because I get the same message directly.

Does anyone have a solution? Or could you tell me if a BF patch or Nvidia update will be able to fix everything or at least allow me to play without crashes...

Best regards

PS: I also tried modifying the PROSAVE_profile file located in Documents\Battlefield 1\settings and changing
GstRender.Dx12Enabled 1 to GstRender.Dx12Enabled 0
but it also changed nothing.

    Hello :-)
So maybe my reply is a bit silly, but at no point did I see that you mentioned you installed DirectX 12 (or 11) from Microsoft? Try reinstalling DirectX: https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/7415-directx/
Did you install all the necessary drivers? https://www.driverscloud.com/fr/demarrer
There you go, but I can't help you more :-)

      Hello
      not at all ^^
knowing that I am on Windows 8.1, unless there is an update to Microsoft's policy, Windows 8.1 and earlier OS versions are not allowed to have DirectX 12 and remain on DirectX 11, only Windows 10 has it. However, in the PROSAVE_profile file, DirectX 12 is enabled by default, which is weird, and moreover, in the game itself, I didn't have an option to switch between DX11 and DX12...
I also used DriverCloud but my drivers are up to date ^^
Thanks anyway for taking the time :)

There was an update today, I was finally able to play BF again, I only played the campaign for exactly 2 hours and 15 minutes and then the game crashed and I couldn't see the message it was telling me... I performed a game repair but nothing works, I don't understand...
