Hello everyone,
Recently, I started making short films. The first one was successful (let's take the opportunity to promote it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfEnOYtpdn8&gl=FR :p), so I decided to make a second one.
I would like to start this one with a credits sequence like "The Young and the Restless":
The characters turn around from a random background, and then the character's name appears...
My main issue is placing (in editing) the character in a different background than where it was filmed...
I have Windows Movie Maker, Magix Video Deluxe 2007 (the demo), and Avid (the demo) for editing.
Could you explain how I should go about it...
Thank you in advance

It's probably a little late to respond, but if it interests other people, there is a chromakey filter in Pinnacle version 11. You just need to get a green or blue screen (they sell a green one on the Pinnacle website), film your characters against it while making sure the screen is taut, and then film or photograph a background. After that, you just need to import the background onto the upper timeline and the film with the green screen onto the lower timeline, then activate the color filter on the film below, making sure to select the correct color corresponding to the background. There are a whole bunch of parameters, especially to better isolate details like hair, but I find that the default settings already give a good result.
