Hello,
I just got a Fujitsu Siemens laptop and the period key is inactive. Nothing happens!!! Thank you for your responses.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 53.0.2785.143

Hello,

the decimal point key is inactive

If it is the decimal point on the numeric keypad, press the Num Lock key.

In fact, there is no numeric keypad on this model, so always stuck at the key;

You are indeed using the capital letter for the period... because I see that the semicolon works.
