Missing insert key on keyboard

Hello,
I am using games or software that sometimes tell me "press the insert key on your keyboard to proceed to the next step" and then I looked at my keyboard and noticed that I don't have an insert key; there is a large delete key, or on my old keyboard, there was also an insert key above the arrow keys... can someone tell me if they have the same problem or how to fix it??
