Insert a hyphen in a cell display

Question

Hello,
I would like to modify the display format of the content of a cell:
There are 10 alphanumeric digits (starting with 0) that I want to display by separating the last 2 with a hyphen.
Example: 0000562301 transformed into 00005623-01

the text to convert is in A1

Hello,

you can do it directly, select the range to be processed and right-click on your selection/Format Cells/Number tab/Custom and in the text box under Type: enter this format
00000000-00

Thank you Philou, I forgot to mention that my numbers are already displayed in text format with a ' in front: it didn't work, therefore.

in the meantime try this
=TEXT(A1*1;"00000000-00")
