Hello
I got a Compaq FP 5315 monitor, I installed it, it worked, and then later when I wanted to turn it back on the power button is blinking but I have nothing on the screen anymore. Has anyone had this kind of problem?
Thank you for your help
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Yes, I have the same problem. I have an FP 5315 screen that is 2 or 3 years old (which worked very well but for the last 5 months, whenever I turn on the computer, the screen flickers; however, if I turn on the computer without the screen and then turn on the screen once it's running, I get to the desktop without any issues. I was told to reduce my monitor's refresh rate, which I've done, but that hasn't solved the problem. I've updated the drivers for the monitor and my graphics card, and that hasn't resolved the issue either. Worse now, whenever I launch that good old Age of Empires II (or any other game for that matter), the screen flickers, and I have to restart the computer (or start the game with the screen off and turn it on once all the cutscenes are over).

So did I forget 2 or 3 other things to try because changing a screen that is only 3 years old is not really something I'm keen on...

I had the same problem; I opened and disassembled the power supply board, all the capacitors were dead, you just need to change them and replace the 25 volts ones and another of 1000uf/12volts with a 1500uf/25volts, after that everything goes back to normal, no more overheating behind the screen.

Hello
I have the same problem with the same screen, have you solved your issue, and if so, how? HP is asking for €180 just to connect the problem since it's no longer under warranty, which is not worth it.

Probably a problem with the VGA connector at the back, right?
Otherwise, it's dead.
It doesn't even show you the BIOS?
