Hello, I'll explain my little problem!
So here it is, I've been playing this game since a few months after its release... Never had any issues until today!
I turn on my computer, everything's fine, now I want to launch the game, and for some time now, I sometimes had to put the CD in to start it, and sometimes it wasn't necessary. (strange)
This afternoon, something new! I received an error message
"war3.exe: the program can't start because MSVCR120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem"
I did that, once by installing RoC and TFT one after the other, then doing the update, and another time by installing only RoC, then the update, then installing TFT and doing the update, I restart the game as requested, I get the same error message.
Then I looked it up here and saw that I needed to install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015, I did that too, checked Direct X and the graphics card drivers as indicated, still the same problem!
Except this time when I click on the link directly without the CD in the drive, I get the same error message, but when I launch it with the disk by clicking on "play warcraft..." in the menu, I receive a CD drive error saying "Frozen Throne cannot be launched. Please verify that the Frozen Throne CD is in your CD-ROM drive and click 'Retry'
I also saw that one could download the famous MSVCR120.dll but that it wasn't very safe for my PC.

New development, I tried installing the MSVCR120.dll in the indicated locations, new problem now it states: the application failed to start correctly (0xc000007b). When I launch the game without the CD and with the CD, the game does not start either but without sending me this message, it simply states that the game could not be launched.
In short, it's a mess ^^ if someone who knows about this and/or has had this problem it would be nice to help :)
Have a good evening

Well, after almost 2 weeks of searching and testing, I finally succeeded. Thank you for your help, which was very useful to me. It's ironic, of course; I would have appreciated it if someone had replied even if they didn't have the solution, but never mind! Best wishes for the future.

Moreover, if I install the update, the game works, but I can't access BNet, so it's kind of pointless..

Today, starting once again to uninstall/reinstall the game, and while rummaging through the game file on my hard drive, I came across this:

Maybe downloading the patch in another language would work? The problem is that since my game is in French, it doesn't seem to want to install this update... Still stuck and no answers, I keep digging...
