Hello, following heavy rain, my LNB head has taken on moisture! Is it definitively out of order or can it dry?
Best regards

To start, open the LNB, clear the cavity and electronic part so that it can dry; you can use a blower to speed up the process.
Before reconnecting the coaxial cable, check for the presence of 13/18V coming from the decoder or television, then connect it while monitoring the terminal's menu display. If the term overload appears, it is short-circuited... and most likely out of service, but the decoder may also not indicate anything while the LNB has a problem.
You can also observe the indications from the built-in signal strength meter via its 2 bargraphs; if the level (intensity) does not change, it is already a bad sign...
In this case, you will need to acquire a new LNB, knowing that the selection criterion is the noise figure (or factor), e.g., 0.2 dB.
Readjust the polarization angle (Pol) by rotating it and overall, recheck the precise alignment (azimuth, elevation) of the dish on the satellite...
