TNT issue : LNB cable overload Solved

Question

Hello, everything is in the title: my TNT SAT decoder has been malfunctioning since yesterday, and today I wake up to find it displaying "LNB cable overload, please turn off the decoder and check the cable."
I really don't understand where this could be coming from, especially since it's been working fine for 3 months. Does anyone have any idea?

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

you go to the decoder menu, then to system settings, after that to antenna power and you set it to off, there you go, and it works

it's curious how this alert message sounds. Let's think a bit, do you have a single LNB? Or two with a switch? Is your cable running up there not crushed or pierced by a fastening staple? Is your F connector to the LNB not short-circuited (the outer wires touching the core of the cable or is it waterlogged)? Many questions that you can already try to find answers to.
Did the storm pass close to your place? Is there any water ingress in the LNB? Any cracks in the plastic of the head?
The satellite decoder sends an electric voltage to the LNB to power it because it is electronically active; this voltage must be overloaded, which induces an error message on your TV. Don't insist too much on operating like this; your decoder won't withstand this overload for long (bills will come later). If you had the antenna installed by a pro, it's guaranteed; otherwise, you'll have to manage alone.
