Hello,

Could someone please help me find the music for a sea shanty whose lyrics I have? I've done several searches but to no avail, thank you.

CHORUS: My ships are made of stone and stand against the winds, their courses rarely change, yet I've traveled on… etc...
and 1st verse: No halyards, no sails, and no capstans, no foresails, no forecastle etc...

    To be honest, finding this author proved to be complicated! I only found the full lyrics of this song:

    The lyrics are claimed to be by a publisher named "Pavillon noir" but I can't find it... It's still a mystery...

      I finally succeeded in my search by reaching out directly on the site, and they replied by sending me the song. I am very happy, and I have the opportunity to buy the CD at a low price that I couldn’t find anywhere.

    The document I have is exactly as you say and it says: Lyrics of Pavillon Noir and on the other side: CD 'Les 4 vents'.
    Supposedly it's sung by Tri-Yann, but it's impossible to find this title among all of his songs, which is quite strange because I do have all the lyrics to this song 'LES VAISSEAUX DE PIERRE'.

    I'm still on my research, it's discouraging.

      The CD by Pavillon noir, which features "Les vaisseaux de pierre," is called "Aux quatre vents" and would be on sale here

    I know you for always being there to help the poor folks in distress and I thank you for that.
    I did see the image of the C.D. 'les quatre vents' from Pavillon Noir, that's what is noted on the sheet where I have the lyrics.
    However, it is surprising that we cannot listen to it before buying the C.D. and I don't see any place to order or ask questions beforehand. It's really not easy for those who want to place an order.

    Good evening baladur13.

    I've finally found what I was looking for.

    I wrote directly to "PAVILLON NOIR" asking if they could let me listen to the music of the song 'LES VAISSEAUX DE PIERRE' and they just replied and sent it to me as an attachment.
    I can even buy the C.D. 'Aux 4 vents' which is not available anywhere else and is not expensive at all, I saw it for 8 € + 2.

    If you are interested, I can send it to you, I also have the lyrics that I retyped, but for that, I need your email address.

    Anyway, thank you again for everything.

    And it will probably be soon.
