Word stuck in small windows

Hello,
I have a problem with Word: As soon as I open it, my text documents are "stuck" in a small window in the top left corner of the screen that I can't stretch to enlarge... I probably made an incorrect maneuver, but what?? After fiddling with it, the window is still just as small with a taskbar at the top saying "document elements" and "quick tables", in short, I no longer even have the classic word processing page... Help!
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.9.5) / Safari 9.1.1

Well, nothing was happening for a week, and now it just "unblocked" itself when I restarted my computer.. I was able to stretch the document to get an overall view again.. I think it's a bug? It would be the first time.. However, I still have an unusual taskbar, I can't seem to find the old one with the "toolbox" and co..
