Hello,
I currently have a PC with the message "Error no boot disk has been detected or the disk has failed" appearing right from startup.
Has anyone ever managed to troubleshoot this kind of error?
It's a Packard Bell (a mini tower) with Windows 8.
I've removed the CD drive, disconnected the hard disk, the keyboard, the mouse, and the message appears from the start.
In the BIOS, the hard disk is recognized.
If anyone has any ideas???
Thank you.

Hello Sannin_WD,
The hard drive is detected and the capacity is good, it correctly shows WD5000 (it's a Western Digital 500GB).
As a manipulation, I connected a blank personal hard drive and the same message appeared very, very quickly.
I also connected the HDD with the power from the DVD drive and got the same message.
In the BIOS, the hard drive is set as Boot No. 1.
The tower is no longer under warranty, and I can create a live CD of Puppy Linux and try it out.
The HDD will be placed in an external case for testing.
