Hello,
I currently have a problem that is causing me some issues. I am interning and I need to virtualize an infrastructure. For that, I am using an ESXi. I have a switch that connects my client PC to my server locally. When I am local, everything works very well, no problem. However, when I connect to the internet, so that my VMs can access the internet, I have an IP addressing problem on my client machine. I have an IPv4 address, but it's a duplicate of the type 169.254.xx.xx. However, I have configured my local network card to have a static IP.
Here is what an ipconfig /all gives me:

I do not understand at all where the problem comes from, and even after several searches, there were solutions such as "go into your box, check if the DHCP has this or that", you will understand that I cannot access the router interface or the DHCP server.
If you could help me, it would be extremely kind, I have been stuck on this problem since yesterday afternoon and I would like to solve this problem to continue making progress on my project.
Thank you for your understanding,
Sincerely.

Hi!
A bit of a late response, but on your Ipconfig /all, we can see that your second address comes from a local network and the one you want comes from a Wi-Fi network. Since you're working on a VM, you just need to uncheck the "cable connected" box in the network tab of your VM configuration!
Give us the name of your hypervisor, and we can guide you further.
Best regards,
Imagine.
