IMovie, surround

Hello,

I’m creating a video on iMovie and using a photo, and I’d like something to surround or enclose the photo in an “active” way without me having to outline it before placing the photo in the edit.

If you know how to do that, I thank you in advance.

    If I’ve understood the need correctly, we should prepare the image that is supposed to surround something.
    For example, if we want to surround a person’s face with a circle, we prepare an image with transparency, in .png format, containing only the circle, and we place it as an overlay on top of the face to be surrounded...

    (it's been quite a while since I last used iMovie...)
