Hello,

I would like to know if, on iMovie, we can use other fonts than the following: Helvetica Neue, Futura Medium, Impact, Lucida Grande, Chalkboard, American Typewriter, Big Calson Medium, and Baskerville?
If so, how?

Thank you in advance for your response. I am new to Mac, and this question may seem simple and pointless, but I kindly ask you to enlighten me. Thank you very much.

You addressed the right person. I also have a Mac and I'm quite familiar with iMovie. I have good news and bad news for you.

The good news is that it is possible to add fonts in iMovie. By default, a text font is in ttf format. All the fonts you can use in Microsoft Word are located in Macintosh HD/Library/Fonts. That's just for your personal info. Now, to add fonts in iMovie, you open a Finder window, go to the Applications menu (Be careful, the one you need to open is the one located in the PLACES tab on the left side of the window), then right-click on iMovie and select "Show Package Contents." If all goes well, a new window will open with the "Contents" folder. Here is the path you will have to follow: Contents/Resources/Fonts. It is in this Fonts folder that you can put your fonts.

The bad news is that since I've never done this before, I estimate the chances of it working to be about 10%. I still hope I was able to help you. See you later.
