Problem with the Sims 2 camera

Hello, I have a little problem with The Sims 2. I can move the camera with the mouse, but it only changes position, not angle or anything. There’s a button on the screen to rotate the camera, but it’s not very practical; I’m not used to it anyway. I would like to know if there’s a way to better rotate the camera and have better control over it using the keyboard or mouse. Thank you in advance for your help.
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

I have the same problem, I can zoom, move left or right but absolutely cannot rotate the camera. I’ve tried installing the patch and searching the internet, but no solution seems to emerge. If you have resolved the same issue, please feel free to post the solution.

Hello.
First, know that there are at least 3 ways to control the camera:
- click on a button on the screen
- button on the keyboard
- control with the mouse
To change the VIEW angle:
- buttons on the screen
- buttons , and ; with no object selected
- press and hold the scroll wheel (if it has one) and move the mouse
- otherwise ctrl+right-click
To MOVE the camera:
- buttons on the screen
- arrow keys on the keyboard OR A,D,W,S for left, right, up, and down
- right-click on the mouse
To ZOOM IN:
- buttons on the screen
- + and - keys
- scroll the mouse wheel
If it doesn't work, know that camera controls (min/max zoom, left/right/up/down limits, angle limits...) can be modified in the folder My Documents/EA GAMES/The Sims 2/Cameras/ in English and there is a configuration for each camera (CAS, neighborhood, houses, and lots...).
HOWEVER, be careful as improper handling can be dangerous, so make sure to create a backup of the folder before any manipulation.
