Connecting a device to an Android tablet

Hello.

I would like to connect a mouse to my Klipad Android tablet.

To do this, I used a female-female USB adapter to connect the mouse to the tablet.
After that, I downloaded a "drivers" type application to detect the USB port with the mouse, but nothing happens.

Reading online, I learned that you need to use a USB On the Go cable to connect a device to an Android tablet. Is this really the case, or can my female-female USB adapter work as long as I choose the right app?

Best regards,

Gorosk

Hello
You needed to get a wireless mouse with a Nano that you plug into the USB port and there you go.
Check this out.

Hello Tribun and thank you for your response.

Your option is interesting and could be a solution to adopt.
However, I would like to know if, from a technical point of view, it is absolutely necessary to obtain a USB On The Go cable to connect a device to an Android tablet or if a female-female USB adapter is sufficient.

Best regards,

Gorosk

Hello

No, you need to have an OTG cable... Otherwise it won't work, and make sure that your tablet is compatible with OTG.

It all depends on the USB port you have on your tablet.
Check this if you have an OTG port on your tablet.
