Hello
I downloaded video files purchased from Arte. The question is, where are they located and which media player should I use to play them? Thank you for your help

    Hello

when you download the file, the download path is indicated where the file will be placed but generally they go to the main hard drive, usually the C: drive.

You go to Start - Computer - in the left window click on Downloads and there the file should be found in the Downloads folder.

Thank you to leotof. In fact, I finally found it, it's on Arte:
      %APPDATA%\com.artelab.artevod.player.b2c\Local Store\Movies
But I have a restriction preventing me from accessing this registry and I don't know how to do it.
I had copied before and tried to open/play these video files with VLC, but it doesn't work.

If you want to see the videos you downloaded for free, you can go on YouTube. That's what I do when they're no longer available on Arte replay, and it works very well.

Give me the title of the video and I'll see if it's on YouTube.

Not for free: I had bought them on ARTE; and I finally found where they were - The files were stored (Windows XP & Firefox). The current problem is why VCL is blocking.... I sent an email to Arte, but since it's Easter, they're just twiddling their thumbs.

He’s not twiddling his thumbs; it’s a holiday today, you’re not working today either, so if it’s the CS, they’re off like you too.

Can you give me the title of what you downloaded? And for VLC, if it’s blocking, it’s because the file is corrupted or defective. Update VLC and try again.

I updated VLC and the file, I don't know if it's possible to send it to you: 750 mb.

I just read on a site that the Arte video was removed at the express request of the production, so I think it is no longer available. I think you should call Arte to get explanations.

I found the video on a download site, the one about baboons adopting dogs.

Hi. No, it still exists, and there were 4 videos, I just checked. You need to go to documents / environment. But I agree with you: it's quite messy, not easy to create a site with thousands of things. I emailed ARTE, I'll keep you updated. See you!

As-tu essayé de convertir la vidéo en un autre codec ?

I will try, but which one?? I have installed all the codecs suggested by VLC. I'm waiting for a response from ARTE.

It's done, I've downloaded a bunch too. Nice to have unchecked Ask, I ended up with a silly thing: Productivity Boss and it doesn't work anyway GRRRRRR.

In my opinion, it's the codec used by Arte that's specific and not compatible with VLC.

Can you check what the codec of the file is? To do this, right-click on the file and go to properties, and you should be able to see the file format.

You're right: Arte has installed their own media player on my PC called Arte cod. I don't know what their codec is, but I have no problem opening their files using it. Thank you for your help.

I have a problem with my Arte VOD files, as I can't locate them on my PC even with: %APPDATA%\com.artelab.artevod.player.b2c\local store\movies

I watch the videos on the Arte player but I would like to know where they are stored? Also, I have other videos on the computer downloaded with the old Microsoft Silverlight system (and I have a lot of them, all purchased), so if you could tell me how to find the videos from the new player, thank you in advance.
