Hello, I have a problem with the driver update for the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2.0 for Windows 10. It seems that since the installation of Windows 10, there is no driver for my keyboard to work. Maybe someone has the answer to my question!
Thank you in advance.

Hello, I saw that the problem was recurring Source HERE >>https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-hardware/windows-10-problem-with-optical-desktop/dfb854a4-c7a2-461f-a34d-7e268428d3d3?auth=1

Try this >>

Device Manager > right-click on the unknown device icon representing the keyboard/mouse receiver > update driver > Choose from a list of devices on my computer > Composite USB device.

After installing the driver, the keyboard/mouse will appear as "PIH Keyboard Device"
<<
Hope this helps you

I did everything you told me, but since I upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10, I keep getting the message "A necessary entry is missing in the installation file for this device driver. The INF file may have been written for Windows 95 or another version."

Thank you very much. I wouldn't have wanted to throw away my keyboard that was working perfectly on my old computer.
I have another question: why is my grave accent key on this old keyboard not working anymore on Windows 10? It gives me èa instead of à that I get by typing Alt133.

Same for me: since the update from Win 7 to Win 10, my wonderful Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 v2.0 is no longer recognized!
After spending a few hours searching on forums, including English ones, I've made my decision—I'm going back to Win 7. Luckily, I had created a disk image before the update.
Thanks, Windows!
See you!
