Hello,
I just bought the Microsoft Wireless Keyboard 1000 + Mouse 2000 pack.
No connectivity issues, but the keys are a complete mess. No key corresponds to what it actually is.
For example, when I press the arrow keys, the keyboard types the letters i, l, o, j; pressing an h toggles the Num Lock on and off, etc.
So, none of the keys work properly.
Can someone tell me if this is a problem with the keyboard (the mouse works perfectly) that needs to be replaced, or if there are some steps to take?
For your information, the installation was done correctly.
Thank you in advance.
Best regards,
dinin70

Hello,
Is the keyboard set to French? (in the operating system settings)

Hello Reivax,
The keyboard is indeed French (Belgium). It's not a matter of AZERTY - QWERTY difference or a slight difference in keys. In this case, all the keys are mixed up. For example, when typing in the area rtyfgg I get +-/ etc., and pressing K brings up the file save screen, etc... -
Hello dinin70,
your message is a bit dated, but I have exactly the same problem as you on the same keyboard.
Have you found a solution? I'm perplexed because it has been working normally for more than 2 good years, and it started "bugging" out of the blue... after the cleaning lady came (I must admit I suspected a mistake on her part).
It really is just as you described: when I press the SHIFT key, it types an exclamation mark, the L becomes K, the H becomes G, the Delete key has turned into a tab, etc., etc... it has gone completely haywire!
This is not a QWERTY conversion issue, and the installed language is indeed French.
Thank you in advance for your response.
