Hello everyone,
I'm facing a problem that I can't solve with InDesign. I created a double-sided document consisting of 14 double-sided sheets (a total of 56 pages). During printing, I noticed that the fronts (and backs) are shifted (on both sides) by 3 mm from the center of the sheet. As a result, if I cut the paper along the crop marks placed by InDesign, the margins on the back are cut off (if I use the front crop marks as a reference).
At first, I thought the problem was with the printer, which for some reason might not be able to align the fronts and backs correctly. But I checked the PDF file, and the shift is already present. I suspect the problem comes from the InDesign export, but I did set the printing options to "center the sheet". Does anyone have any ideas?
Here is my printing protocol:
In InDesign:
In GhostScript:
Thank you for your help.

To go through a PS, I suppose you need to be on a MAC..
But from Indesign you can do a direct export to PDF.. This allows you to create multiple profiles depending on the situations (print, print with crop marks, for proofing, etc..)
For your problem, I think it comes from the PS printing configuration... In the print window, you should have an option that allows you to specify the position of the print on the sheet.
Check that the "centered" position has been selected..

No, I'm on Windows, I use the driver of a PS printer (Xerox Phaser 7800) to generate the Ps file.
For PDF printing, I go through the "print booklet" function because I need to provide my printer (or the copy shop) with a PDF file, where the pages are presented in sheets that fit on A3 paper. I don't think the export to PDF option allows for that (especially since I have to take compensation into account).
Yet (and this is the big problem), I have indeed set the "center" option, and I still have a 3mm offset.
