For once I think I can provide a solution to a problem...
So, you are going to open the tab "Customize and control Google Chrome"
(all the way to the right of the toolbar, the three small stacked lines) a little click and you open the "Settings" menu...
In this menu, in the "Appearance" section, you click on the "Show Home button" button and your little house reappears like magic!
And you take the opportunity to spot the "Always show bookmarks bar" button which can be useful when this bar disappears! (it happens to me often!).
