Filter failure

Hello,
I have a Canon MG5350 series printer; I tried to connect it to my new
iMac (USB cable) without success. I received this error message: "Filter" failed
Can someone help me?

    Canon's response

    For Mac
    Apple / System Preferences / Printers
    The list of printers appears
    Hold "ctrl" and click
    A menu appears "Reset printing system"
    Click on it
    All printers disappear
    Click on "+" to add printers (Printer type IJ Network for network and USB for USB)
    And add the printer in the usual way
    Do not select Bonjour as the connection type
    Please do a print test again

    I also invite you to test another USB cable

      I am encountering the same problem with a Canon MG5250.
      I have reset the printing system but I am still facing the same issue.
      Could you please indicate the steps to follow?
