Hello,
I just bought a negative scanner "homday x pert 355743" and I can't get it to work; I followed the instructions but there's no image on the scanner, I'm being asked for an authorized serial number when I press the image button; moreover, the booklet mentions "capture," which doesn't appear on what I've installed.

Same for me; except that I managed to install the software with the CD. But when I open NimoFilm and click on "image input", a window opens asking for the authorized serial number (the one on the back of the CD case); entering this number has no effect: we remain on the software's homepage without being able to scan anything. Furthermore, I searched for this device (scanner) in the "devices and printers" section of the Windows control panel, which indicates "incompatible program"; I tried on Windows 7 and 10: same issue. Considering the questions and answers found on the subject, I think the best option is to return this equipment to the distributor as it does not conform to the purpose it is supposed to fulfill. I followed the instructions exactly as written. After three attempts, I brought this item back to GIFI, and the cashier printed me a voucher. I refused the voucher and asked to be fully refunded; she credited the amount back to my bank card. Do the same.
