Deleting the admin account without the password

Hello,
I have a little problem, I forgot the password for my admin account (it wasn't mine before, I bought it second-hand, so I was given the password but I didn't remember it) and now when I want to download apps from the app store I can't :( and even when I want to unlock everything on the websites I can't either. Is there a way to delete this account without having the password or if necessary, should I format it, but how?
Thank you for your response.

Configuration: Mac OS X (10.10.5) / Safari 9.0.2

    Hello,

    - Can't the previous owner give you that password back?

    - If you just bought this Mac, I strongly recommend creating a brand new account in your name with administrator privileges.

    - You can reset the current password by following this procedure:
    https://www.commentcamarche.net/faq/44963-reinitialiser-un-mot-de-passe-utilisateur-sous-os-x-10-depuis-la-partition-de-secours

Once that's done, create a new Admin account in your name and delete the old one.

    Good luck

      Hello Francis,
First of all, thank you for your response. Yes, I went to easy cash (where I bought the Mac) and we tried to figure it out together. They tried entering several passwords but none of them were right. So this is my first time buying from Apple and I bought it during the summer. I didn't really look for the password since I was able to connect without any problem, but right now I need it to activate certain things, and when I went to see them, they had forgotten the password, so here we are...
I will follow your method. Thank you so much!
