I recently bought 4 GB of RAM to replace my 2 GB. The problem is that after replacing it, the PC only turns on and then off endlessly.
If anyone has a solution, that would be great :)

can you provide the reference for the old RAM and the new one?
    maybe there is an incompatibility.

Otherwise, remove them, blow on them, and put them back in, making sure that they are perfectly clipped in (without forcing), straight, properly inserted, and without dust in the connector.

If you have multiple sticks, start with just one, then add a second one, and so on...

My old RAMs are two Corsair "VS1GB667D2" of 1 GB each and my motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L.

Ps: the problem surely doesn't come from my PC, I put my old RAM back in and everything worked fine.

    Good evening

It seems that your RAM is not compatible, put your old RAM back in and try again

Avoid those supposedly repair-free software, they are of no major use. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..

Yes, I just saw that you replied after my message.
Is it a single 4GB stick or two 2GB sticks?
