Is it possible to spoof HDD? - Project

Bonjour à tous.

I would like to do something with my SATA hard drive. Let me explain:
I have a 20GB Seagate, and I would like a Western Digital.

I would like to know if it is possible to make a Seagate appear as a Western Digital to the PC (for example, spoofing).
If yes, how can I do it?

Thank you to everyone who will try to help me...

P.S: I don't need a response like: Why not just buy a WD??
Because otherwise it wouldn't be a project, as stated in the title...
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.5

I don't think it's possible at a low level: it's the disk itself that responds to who it is (the proof is that even the BIOS knows). After that, we can have fun changing the labels on the fly at the software level, but it remains just smoke and mirrors :)
