Asus U79K Wireless Keyboard Issues

Hello,

Let me explain the history of the problem:
Yesterday morning when I started my PC, at the password prompt, the keyboard was unresponsive.
I thought it might be the battery, so I replaced it.
However, when inserting the new battery, the keyboard seems to send an "enter" type command and therefore validates the "empty" password. I then removed the battery and dug out my old dusty wired keyboard from the attic.
I plugged it in, entered my password, everything was fine, Windows started.
Once Windows was up, I unplugged my old wired keyboard and put the battery back in the Asus keyboard: it worked perfectly.
I thought the problem was solved.

Except that when I restarted the PC this morning, the keyboard did the same thing again. It was unresponsive to the password prompt despite its new battery, and I was once again forced to use the old keyboard.
So now I have a PC that can only start with the wired keyboard, and once it is up and running, it works perfectly with the wireless keyboard.
How can I get my wireless keyboard to work again for typing the password?

Hello Marcel,

Is this problem recent? Did the keyboard work well before?
