Hello,

I am reaching out to you because despite extensive research on this topic, I haven't found anything substantial...

Therefore, I own a Canon PIXMA MG5500, and I am looking to "reset" the waste ink absorber after receiving an error message. However, I am not keen on paying €100 for an intervention at a Canon center if I can do it myself.

Thank you in advance!

Good evening,

Thank you for your quick reply, but how do I reset the printer? I can't find it either in the manual or online..

I will do this operation when we have no other solution:

I unplug the printer from the PC
I uninstall the printer. (Software removal)
I reinstall the driver and I plug the printer back in.

I tried your method, but it didn't work. The problem persists.
