Hello,
I got a jack cable (3.5 mm) and I would like to use it for a setup, but I don't know which side is + and which one is - (which is quite annoying)
I'm obviously talking about the one inside the cable and not the tip (the plug)

Good evening,
It all depends on the type of jack,
If mono, the hot point (+) is the tip that corresponds to the core of the cable, the rest of the jack is the ground to be connected to the shield.
If stereo jack:
