Vinyl turntable on Bose speaker

Question

Hello,

I have an old vinyl player with two RCA outputs and a jack that serves as power.

On the side of my Bose speaker, I only have a jack input.

Currently, to listen to my Bose speakers, I route the sound from my vinyl player through an amp and then to my speaker.

Is there a way (a box with RCA and power jack on one side and a jack on the other) that would allow me to eliminate this bulky amp?

Do you have a reference or suggestion for the type of preamp to buy?

Hi.
Give me the model of your Bose speaker.
The turntables need to be corrected by RIAA, so you will need at least a preamp. (if the Bose doesn’t have one) And there are simply RCA to jack cables.

Hello,
It's all quite complicated...
Some recent turntables have a built-in RIAA corrector preamp and the RCA outputs are thus line outputs since current amplifiers no longer have a "phono" input.
You say that you currently connect your turntable to an amplifier, but what type of input? "Phono" or "line"?
If you connect to a line input and the sound is good, it means the turntable has a built-in preamp, so you can connect it directly to the Bose speakers.
If the sound is weak and high-pitched, you will need to go through a corrector preamp like this one:

As for the power supply of the turntable, it is certainly something other than a jack.
And could you give us the model of the turntable and the amplifier?

He himself said it was an old turntable.
The Bose system doesn't have a RIAA amplifier, so it probably requires a preamplifier.
A preamplifier doesn't power the turntable. I don’t quite understand your story about powering it through a jack either.
You have a plethora of phono preamps available at all prices and qualities.

Yes, what our friend calls eating by jack is not a jack but a standard 12-volt power socket.

This preamp will be delivered with its own 12-volt power supply, which is not shown in the picture, and your turntable will also have its own 12-volt power supply since it will no longer be powered by your amplifier.
These power supplies look like a large plug (more or less large depending on the amperage of the device to be powered) with a male connector at the other end that you might confuse with a jack, like this:

Check the necessary amperage for the turntable and buy the power supply accordingly.
