Good evening, I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note GT N7000 second-hand
The problem is that it is running Android 2.3.6, I have already searched online and apparently an update to Android 4.0.1 or something like that is available, but when I look for a new update in the settings, a message tells me that there are no new updates available.
Could someone please help me?

    Hello

Android 2.3.6... it's been a long time since you should have been on Jelly Bean 4.1.2...

Go to the Samsung website and install the Kies software (not Kies 3) on your PC... then open Kies and connect your phone to the PC... finally, you mentioned that you bought it second-hand... so go to the Play Store and install Samsung Phone Info... and come back to give us the results, including your version number (build), your CSC, etc.

Thank you for the information, but I'm sorry, I didn't fully understand what to do after downloading Kies and connecting the phone.

Kies is Samsung's software that allows you to manage your phone, including backups, official updates, etc. So you install it, open it, and then connect it to your PC with a USB cable... and we'll see what it tells you... But I'm also asking you to go to the Play Store and install a Samsung Phone Info app and provide us with the results, as the information is complete, which will save us time and possibly help you... At the same time, you tell us where you live and who your operator is...

There are quite a few alternative ROMs. MIUI is my favorite or Cyanogen, well-finished.
